Prayer for Acts 5

Choose Verse

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Word of God and the truths that it contains. Thank You for this example, which contrasts the pure motive of one man with the deceptive actions of others.. reminding us that God knows the thoughts and intents of the heart. I pray that the words of my mouth, the actions I do and the inner motives of my mind, would always be acceptable to You, my God and my Redeemer, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

“But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?”

Heavenly Father, thank You that holy apostles and prophets of old, were moved by God to write both the Old and New Testaments. Thank You that they were used to lay the sure foundation upon which our faith is secure. Thank You that Jesus is the Rock of our salvation, the Cornerstone of our faith and the Anchor of our soul. We praise You that Your Holy Spirit guided holy men of God into all truth, as the gospel was revealed to them, as which was penned Scripture for our learning. Thank You in Jesus name, AMEN.

“And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)”

Prayer For The Recovery Of A Friend

Dear God, You are the giver of life and health and You are the healer of the sick and the suffering – we pray for a dear friend who is in distress with ill-health today and pray that You would help them to come to a full recovery and restore them to wholeness, health and strength.

Lord I do ask that You would meet my friend at their point of need – not only in their physical suffering but also in their spiritual sickness. Lord my dear friend not only needs recovery of their physical health but recovery of their spiritual lack and the emotional pain - that seems to be making their physical problem so much worse.

Administer all Your gifts of health and healing for body and mind I pray and multiply Your blessings and grace towards them so that they may be fully restored and come to a deeper knowledge and understanding of You, in Jesus name,

“Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.”
