Prayer for Acts 26

Choose Verse

Praying through Acts 26:14

Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Paul who turned from being a proud Pharisee and the worst of sinners, into a devoted bond-servant and faithful apostle of Christ. I pray that I may be ever open to the inner promptings of the Holy Spirit and that You would use me as a witness of the truth, in whatever way You choose. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”
(Acts 26:14)

Praying through Acts 26:15

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Paul and the lessons I can learn from his life and ministry. Give me an understanding heart that is willing to learn, and prevent me from holding fast to any opinion or belief system that is counter to the truth of the gospel. Give me a teachable spirit, I pray, and may I be used in the furtherance of the gospel, in whatever way You choose. May everything I do and say be for Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.”
(Acts 26:15)

Praying through Acts 26:16

Heavenly Father, what an amazing testimony we have in Saul the persecutor who became Paul the humble apostle and was used by You for Your greater praise and glory. Thank You that You are ready and willing to use all who have been sanctified by faith in the death and Resurrection of Christ and that no sin is too great that cannot be forgiven, except the sin of unbelief. Just as You used Paul in the furtherance of Your kingdom, I pray that You would use me in whatever way You will. Take my life, I pray, and let it be consecrated to You, through time and into eternity. This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;”
(Acts 26:16)

Praying through Acts 26:17

Heavenly Father, thank You that You sent Jesus to be our kinsman Redeemer, and that by faith I am part of His body. Help me to live according to Your will and not to find myself in opposition to Your plans and purposes, by following my own logic or desires. Help me to become a wise student of Scripture and carry out Your purposes for my life, so I may be a testimony to the truth. And I pray that I may learn to reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,”

Praying through Acts 26:18

Heavenly Father, thank You for opening my eyes to the truth of the gospel of grace and for bringing me into the family of God. Thank You that I have been forgiven of my sin and am among those who have been sanctified by faith in Christ. Lord, there are many whose eyes are blinded to the truth and who remain trapped in the dominion of Satan. I pray that the eyes of their hearts would be opened to receive the truth of the gospel. Thank You for the life and witness of Paul. Use me, Lord, as a light in this darkened world and a witness to the truth of the gospel of Jesus, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
(Acts 26:18)
