Praying through Revelation 5:1

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son to come to earth as the sinless Son of Man, the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world. Only He was good enough to pay the price for my sin and the sin of the whole world, through the shedding of His life-blood on Calvary's Cross. Only He is worthy to open the seven-sealed scroll so that Your justified judgement against sin can be poured out on the God-hating, Christ-rejecting, fallen race that refuses to receive Your free gift of salvation. Thank You that Jesus is Lord of heaven and earth Who will judge the world in righteousness and that all His enemies will one day be placed under His feet. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.”

Praying through Revelation 5:4

Heavenly Father, thank You that You know the end from the beginning and have set out Your plans and purposes for the salvation of lost sinners and the establishment of Christ's eternal kingdom on earth, in Your Word of truth. Thank You for sending Jesus to be the propitiation for our sin. Thank You that Jesus was willing to come to earth and live and die as a Man so that I might be saved by grace through faith in His sacrificial work at Calvary and His glorious Resurrection, where He broke the power of Satan, sin, death, and hell, and will bring in the kingdom age following that prophesied time of Jacob’s Trouble. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.”

Praying through Revelation 5:6

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Lord Jesus, the holy Lamb of God Who was slain to take away the sin of the world. Lord, how bitter sweet it feels to know that I will see the marks in His hands and feet, the perfect Lamb slain for me so that I can have eternal life with Him. Thank You that the all-powerful Lamb Who knows everything, knows me and loves me. May I live my life loving Him more and more each day. In His beautiful name I pray, AMEN.

“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”

Praying through Revelation 5:7

Heavenly Father, what a great and mighty God You are, and what magnificent plans You have purposed to bring all things to completion. Help me to develop an attitude of gratitude for all that You have purposed for me and for all who love You. You are a good and loving Father Who never changes, and whose promises stand fast forever and ever. May I never forget all the things You have done, the things You are doing, and the things that have been purposed in the days ahead. Use me in the closing days of this Church age for Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus’ name, AMEN.

“And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.”

Praying through Revelation 5:9

Heavenly Father, what a blessing to know that as a member of the Bride of Christ, I will be uniting my voice to sing this glorious new song with the 24 elders. Thank You that I have been redeemed by Your blood, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ my Saviour. He alone is worthy of all praise, honour, and glory, AMEN.

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;”

Praying through Revelation 5:9

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your written Word and for the wonderful truths it contains. I praise and thank You for the godly instruction it teaches and the prophetic events it foretells. Thank You that I can sing the new song of the 24 elders - for Christ Jesus was slain for me and has redeemed me to God by His precious blood. Thank You for the many men and women of God in this dispensation of grace who have been redeemed out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Thank You that by faith in Him, we have all been made kings and priests of God and will one day rule and reign on the earth - with Christ Jesus our Lord, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

Praying through Revelation 5:12

I praise You, Father God, for the amazing grace that You have granted through the death and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb that was slain for me. I am not worthy to pick up the crumbs under Your table, yet You have clothed me in Your own righteousness. I praise Your name forevermore, and in the name of Jesus I offer this prayer to You, before Your throne of grace, AMEN.

“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”
