Prayer for Luke 13:6

“And He told this parable: "A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He came looking for fruit on it and found none.”

Praying through Luke 13:6

Heavenly Father, thank You for the lesson of the fruitless fig tree which illustrates the barrenness that comes from a hardened heart which refuses to acknowledge sin and turn to Christ for forgiveness and life. I pray that I may abide in Him and He in me so I may be a fruitful branch during this Church age, when the gospel of grace is being preached worldwide. I pray that despite Israel’s rejection of their Messiah and the partial blindness that has covered their spiritual eyes, that many will turn to Jesus for salvation today. And I pray for that day when the entire nation of Israel will call on the name of the Lord and be saved. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
