Prayer for Galatians 6

Praying through Galatians 6:1

Heavenly Father, I pray that I may grow in grace and live my life as You would have me live, in spirit and in truth. Help me to be kind, compassionate, hospitable, and gracious toward my brothers and sisters in Christ. May I love others in the same way that Christ loved me and gave Himself for me. Help me to exhibit a spirit of forgiveness and grace, honouring others above myself. Give me a spirit of gentleness and love in my dealings with others, especially those that are straying from the path of righteousness. Keep me ever humble before You, lest I am tempted to sin and so dishonour Your holy name. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”

Praying through Galatians 6:2

Heavenly Father, thank You for the many lessons I am learning and the importance of becoming a spiritual Christian and fulfilling the law of Christ by abiding in Him and submitting to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. May I grow in grace and wisdom, humility and gentleness, so that in the power of the Holy Spirit I may be spiritually enabled to support the weak, help the afflicted, bear the burdens of my brothers and sisters in Christ, restore those that have been tempted into sin, and thus fulfil the Christ-like law of godly love to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Praying through Galatians 6:5

Heavenly Father, thank You that in Christ I am a new creature, and by faith in Him I have become a child of God. I pray I may be a good steward of the work that You have given me to do, and that I remain low at the Cross and broken before You, knowing that I must one day stand before the judgement seat of Christ. Give me the wisdom and strength I need to give encouragement to my brothers and sisters when they fall, but help me to do so without hypercritical judgement, and may I live the rest of my life in a manner that honours Your holy name. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“For every man shall bear his own burden.”

Praying through Galatians 6:6

Heavenly Father, thank You that we are not islands, but members of Christ's Body and part of the universal Christian Church. May I go out and share the good news of the gospel of grace, giving freely of my time, talents, money, and knowledge. May I be a blessing to others, knowing that I too have been blessed by those who have taught me. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.”

Praying through Galatians 6:7

Heavenly Father, thank You for this principle of sowing and reaping. I pray that I may develop a giving heart and a generous spirit so that all I say brings honour to Your name. May all I do be for the glory of God and for the good of others. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Praying through Galatians 6:8

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am part of the new creation in Christ and have been freed from the ravages of sin, death, and hell, by faith in the shed blood of Christ on Calvary. Father, I want to live my life in spirit and truth and keep the old sin nature out of commission and nailed to the Cross. Help me to honestly recognise any fleshly tendencies to which I may cling and keep me, I pray, from sowing to my flesh. Rather, I ask that in the power of the Holy Spirit, I may sow to the Spirit and live my life in humble submission unto the Lord for His praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

Praying through Galatians 6:9

Loving Father, I want to press on in my Christian life, to become more and more like the Lord Jesus. I know that it will require me to put my hand to the plough and press on, with the patient endurance that only comes from You. I pray that I may not lose heart or grow weary in doing the good works that You have prepared for me to do. Thank You that in due time I may reap a fruitful reward, if I do not give up. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Praying through Galatians 6:14

Loving Father, thank You that Christ's work is complete and I do not have to keep the Law to please you, but simply trust in Him as Saviour. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.”

Praying through Galatians 6:15

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful way that You gradually opened up our understanding through the Old and New Testament Scriptures, to teach us that we are all sinners in need of a Saviour, and we are justified by faith. Thank You that You have broken down the barrier between Jew and Gentile and that by grace through faith in Christ, we are new, redeemed creatures, and part of the one new-man in Him. May I live my life to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.”

Praying through Galatians 6:16

Heavenly Father, thank You that the more I study Your Word, the more You open up the truth to my understanding. Thank You for the nation of Israel, through whom was born the Lord Jesus, my God and my Saviour. I pray that many of those Jews who have been blinded in part and have remained dead in their sins, would trust in Christ as their Messiah and Lord. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.”
