Gracious Heavenly Father, how I thank You for our precious little girl whom You have been pleased to send into our little family circle. Lord, I pray that she may come to know the Lord Jesus as her own personal Saviour, and that she may grow in grace and become a truly spiritual woman, who puts the Lord Jesus first, in every area of her life.
Lord, give us wisdom as we teach her and train her in spiritual matters, and Lord I pray that we may be careful to diligently bring her up in the ways of the Lord, for You have promised that if we bring up our children in the fear and nurture of God, when they are old they will not depart from it. And so Lord, I claim that promise for my daughter and pray that you would give us the ability and wisdom to secure her in the knowledge of the scripture, with a clear understanding of Who the Lord Jesus is and what He has done for us all.
Bring into her life friends who have a deep love for Jesus, and a church family that teaches the grace of God and the truth of Your Scriptures. May she also develop a deep desire to know more of You as she grows older. Into Your hands Lord, I place my daughter. In Jesus' name I pray,
Heavenly Father, You have called us to grow in grace, to increase our understanding of Jesus and to develop a close and intimate relationship with You. Lord, this is what I desire to do, and I pray I may come to know You more and more each day.
Thank You, Father, for the Bible, which is written to help me understand Your Word of truth, and thank You for the indwelling Holy Spirit, Who has promised to guide me in the way that I should go.
I pray that I may learn to walk in spirit and truth so that I may mature in my Christian faith as I study the Bible and learn to live godly in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name I pray,
Heavenly Father, thank You that in Your Word, You have given us all we need to mature in the faith, to grow in grace and to live godly in Christ Jesus. We pray that all Your children may become like new-born babes who cry out in longing for the pure milk of the Word of God. Develop in each one an insatiable desire to know more of You and to know You more intimately, so that individually and corporately we may grow up and mature in every aspect of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is our Saviour and Head.
Strengthen each one we pray, knowing that in Christ we can do all things, but may we never forget that without Him at the helm of our lives we can achieve nothing in the spiritual realm.
Thank You, Father, that You are able to make all grace abound in the lives of each of all Your children, if only we will abide in Christ and walk in spirit and truth. We pray that in the power of the Holy Spirit, You would give us all sufficiency in everything and use us as You choose, in Your service, to Your praise and glory.
Give us discernment we pray, so that we may not be carried away by the error of unprincipled men, and prevent us from falling from our own steadfastness and faith, but enable us to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and into the day of eternity. In Jesus' name,
Dear Father in heaven, I have been drifting for too long in my spiritual walk and I know that I need a spiritual wake-up call. I pray that by Your grace, You would help me to waken myself up from this spiritual slumber and turn from any spiritual laziness and indifference I may have shown towards You. Rekindle the smoking embers of my faith and hope, my trust and obedience, I pray.
How I praise and thank You that by grace You sent Your Holy Spirit to indwell my heart and that my body has now become a holy temple of God. Forgive me Lord, for the times I have ignored this truth and have neglected to live this out in my life.
Forgive me for the many times I must have grieved or quenched Your work in my life, and renew a right spirit within me, I pray. Help me Lord, to put away my carelessness or attitude of indifference and may I grow in grace and in a knowledge of You, knowing that this is Your will in the lives of each of Your children.
Uphold me with Your righteous right hand and keep me ever looking to Jesus, Who is both author and finisher of my fatih. This I ask in His name, Who died for me so that I might live with Him in glory,
