Prayer for Hebrews 12:2

“keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God's throne.”

Praying through Hebrews 12:2

I just want to thank You, dear Father, for Your grace and mercy in sending the Lord Jesus Christ Who loves me and died for me and is the beginning and the completer of my faith. Help me to take my eyes off the things that detract from Him, including myself... and may I keep the focus of my gaze ever looking to Him. Thank You for His life example and His patient endurance in the face of the Cross and make me more like Him, day by day. In His name I pray, AMEN.

Praying through Hebrews 12:2

Heavenly Father, praise Your Holy name that Jesus went to the Cross and endured its suffering and separation for my sake. Thank You that even in His agony He counted it as joy because His work would save my soul. Thank You that His work is finished, and salvation is free to all who trust, by faith alone, in Christ alone. May I forever and ever keep Jesus as the centre and circumference of my life and faith. In His precious name I pray, AMEN.
