Prayer for Matthew 2:11

“Entering the house, they saw the child with Mary His mother, and falling to their knees, they worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”

Praying through Matthew 2:11

Heavenly Father, thank You for the lovely picture of these wise men, seeking Jesus and finding Him to be the heavenly Prophet, Priest, and King, about Whom the Scriptures wrote. Thank You that I have also been guided to worship at His feet. Thank You for the sacrifice of His perfect life in payment for my sins. I do not have wonderful gifts such as gold, frankincense, and myrrh, with which to honour Him. But it is with humility of heart and grateful thanks that I offer myself as a living sacrifice, fully devoted to my Saviour. I pray that I will have an opportunity to bear the good news of salvation to others, to the praise of my God and Saviour. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
