Dear Lord Jesus, I thank You for my dear child, but my heart is breaking as they have left the way of truth to follow after the baubles of this world.
Lord, I remember a time when my child loved You, at least so I thought, but they have strayed far away and become like the prodigal son in the Bible, who ended up living off the dregs of this world, even when they had a rich table of grace and love, prepared by You, on which they could feast in abundance.
Bring my child back I pray. May my child recall what Jesus did for them on the cross and repent. May they turn away from their sinful way and turn back to Christ Who loves them so much. Oh Lord, bring my child back to Your fold and into fellowship with Yourself.
