Praying through Revelation 3:2

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your glorious grace which is extended to me and all that have strayed from Your paths of righteousness. Thank You for these warnings to get my life back into a right relationship with You. I repent of all my back-sliding and disinterest in what is so important, which is being in fellowship with You. I pray that from today forward, I may only do those things that are pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.”

Praying through Revelation 3:4

Heavenly Father, thank You for the lessons of Sardis and the need to keep our garments pure and undefiled, and to walk in the light as He is in the light. Thank You that by grace through faith I have been declared worthy, not because of my own righteousness, but by faith in the finished work of Christ on Calvary for the redemption of my soul. I pray that I may grow in grace and walk in spirit and truth, and may I press on for the high call of God in my life and not compromise my faith through dead works. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.”

Praying through Revelation 3:5

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your many precious promises and thank You also, for the serious warning that those that live in carnality will suffer loss, when they come into Your presence. Lord, I do not want to compromise my faith and waste my Christian life by living in carnality. I desire to do Your will for Your greater praise and glory. Help me to stay alert, remain obedient to Your Word, die to the desires of the flesh, and live my life for Christ. Thank You that as Your child I am already an overcomer, by faith, and that my name is written in the Lamb's book of life and can never be erased. However, Lord, I want to carry out the works of righteousness that You have prepared for me to do in the power of the Holy Spirit, and to hear You say, "well done good and faithful servant" in the presence of God the Father and His holy angels. Keep me pure in word, in spirit, and in deed unto my life's end. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

Praying through Revelation 3:11

Heavenly Father, please keep me from developing an attitude of complacency in my Christian walk. May I always be alert to the many pitfalls and perils that strew the paths of all Your children. Keep me, I pray, in full and utter dependence upon You alone every moment of the day as I hold fast to my crown until the end of my life. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”

Praying through Revelation 3:12

Heavenly Father, what an amazing privilege to be identified with Christ as a member of His Body and to have the seal of the indwelling Holy Spirit as a guarantee that we will be permanently established as pillars in the Temple of God, to Your praise and glory. Thank You that as Your children, we have Christ's name engraved upon us forever, and that nothing in heaven above nor the earth beneath, can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.”

Praying through Revelation 3:15

Heavenly Father, thank You that I have the opportunity to learn a spiritual lesson on how to live godly in Christ Jesus, through the failure of these people at Laodicea. I am sorry for any areas of my life that I have allowed to become lukewarm to You and ask that I would live a life that is on fire for the Lord. I pray that I would keep the door of my heart ever open to You and that my communion with You would overflow into blessings for those I come into contact. I pray that my life may become a light in a darkened world and that my word may be witness to the goodness and grace of God to all with whom I come in contact, for Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.”

Praying through Revelation 3:19

Heavenly Father, thank You so much that You love me enough to discipline me when my focus strays from what is acceptable to You and beneficial for me. Help me to value what is important and to keep the focus of my heart always on You. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”

Praying through Revelation 3:20

Heavenly Father, I know that my heart is not as fervently in love with you as it should be. Thank You for Your grace and long-suffering patience with me. I confess I have quenched the Spirit in my life with my indifferent attitude. I want to change and live in submission to You. I pray that I would open the door of my heart to Jesus to come and fellowship with me, for in Him is fullness of joy. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Praying through Revelation 3:21

Heavenly Father, I realise how easy it is to become complacent and lukewarm in our Christian walk, when we allow the passing things of this world to take our attention away from Jesus. May my heart be rooted and grounded in Him, and I pray that I may live a life that honours Your name so that I may overcome in all things and gain the promised reward of sitting with Christ on His throne in His coming kingdom. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

Praying through Revelation 3:22

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Word of God and the indwelling Spirit of truth. I pray that by faith I may hear all that the Spirit has to say to the churches and apply all that I hear in my own life, to Your praise and glory. Keep me from spiritual adultery, false teachings, and anything else that might cause me to compromise my faith in Christ Jesus my Lord Who died for me so that by faith in Him I might overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
