Praying through Proverbs 13:3

Loving Father, how I praise You for my body, which is fearfully and wonderfully made. Guard my tongue from speaking foolish words and ill-considered comments. Rather, let my speech be always gracious, good, and kind, as I speak the truth in love. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.”

Praying through Proverbs 13:10

Heavenly Father, thank You for the words of wisdom that are found in Scripture. Keep me from prideful insolence and destructive strife and teach me to walk in your way, to receive wisdom, and to be willing to learn from godly counsel. Help me to take to heart all that is written in Your Word, and enable me, in the power of the Spirit, to apply all that I learn in my everyday life so that I may not only be a good and faithful witness of Your love and grace, but be a member of Your Body that honours Your holy name. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.”

Praying through Proverbs 13:12

Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ is the Light of the world, and in Him is life, and health, and wholeness. Thank You that in Him, we find peace with God when we trust Him for our salvation. Lord, the peace You give is so wonderful it cannot be found anywhere else. Your heavenly peace which passes understanding, guards my heart and mind and enlivens my soul. Thank You for Your amazing plan of redemption for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting, and that the day is coming when I will see Jesus face to face and have full and free access to the living Tree of Life. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Proverbs 13:24

Heavenly Father, thank You for the book of Proverbs and the many lessons that I have been able to learn and understand. Thank You, that You are a God Who cares deeply for each of Your children and that You use the choices we make, both good and bad, to discipline us, develop our faith in You and increase our patient endurance. Thank You, that godly discipline in the lives of Your children, is a tool you are using for Your greater glory and our eternal benefit. Help me to embrace the chastening rod of Your Spirit in my life, so that I learn the lessons You want to teach me. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.”
