Praying through John 4:4

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the wonderful lessons that it contains. Thank You that there is no one that is beyond Your grace.. and that salvation is available to all who will hear and receive the truth of the glorious gospel of grace. I pray that I may learn as Jesus did to listen to Your voice and be guided by the inner promptings of the Holy Spirit so that I will know when I must go through a certain place - to do your will for Your praise and glory, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

“And he must needs go through Samaria.”

Praying through John 4:7

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus Who humbled Himself by becoming a homeless, travel-worn, exhausted, despised man, even to the point of death on a Cross, in order to save me. Thank You that like the woman at the well, You have become in me a well of water springing up to eternal life. Use me as a channel through whom Your living water may be poured out to all with whom I come in contact, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.”

Praying through John 4:10

Heavenly Father, thank You that You sought me out when I was dead in my sins and sinking deep into the miry pit of sin, self, selfishness, and seduction. Thank You that Jesus is the living water, in Whom alone are the words of eternal life. Thank You that You searched me out by convicting me of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement, so that by faith in Christ I have received Your free gift of salvation. May Your rivers of living water flow out through me to others who are in need of Your forgiveness. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.”

Praying through John 4:11

Heavenly Father,  as I consider the Samaritan woman at the well, who came to Jesus, heard His message, and chose to drink of the living water He offered, it is wonderful to know that no one is excluded from drinking the living water of life that You offer. Thank You that the living water You offer is freely given, comes without cost, and becomes a living spring within, that wells up into eternal life. May I drink deeply from the fountain of Your supply and resist the temptation to do things in my own strength. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?”

Praying through John 4:14

Loving Father, thank You that Jesus is that well-spring of water that has been poured into my weary soul and is a well of water springing up unto everlasting life. Enable me to be a channel through whom Your love and refreshment may stream out to all those with whom I come in contact today so that they may know You as the water of their life. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Heavenly Father, thank You that You loved the world so much, that You sent Your only begotten Son to be Saviour of the world so that all who believe on Him would not perish but drink of the eternal water of life that only flows from Him. Thank You for my new life in Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit. Thank You that I am a living stone that is being built up into the Temple of God, which is not made with hands, and thank You that one day You are coming back as Israel’s king and as Saviour of the world. Help me to worship You in spirit and truth, moment by moment. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

I pray that I may learn to depend on You fully and yield to the leading and guidance of your Holy Spirit in willing submission. Praying through John 4:42

Loving Father, I thank You for the people in my life that have testified of Your grace and goodness and pointed me to Jesus. Help me not to idolize them and found my faith on them and what they say, but on Christ the Word of Truth Who is the only sure foundation. Give me wisdom and discernment, I pray. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
