Praying through Acts 5:3

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Word of God and the truths that it contains. Thank You for this example which contrasts the pure motive of one man with the deceptive actions of others, reminding us that God knows the thoughts and intents of the heart. I pray that the words of my mouth, the actions I do, and the inner motives of my mind, would always be acceptable to You, my God and my Redeemer. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?”

Praying through Acts 5:14

Heavenly Father, thank You that holy apostles and prophets of old, were moved by God to write both the Old and New Testaments, and that they were used to lay the sure foundation upon which my faith is secure. Thank You that Jesus is the Rock of my salvation, the Cornerstone of my faith, and the Anchor of my soul. I praise You that Your Holy Spirit guided holy men of God into all truth, as the gospel was revealed to them which was penned as Scripture for our learning. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)”
(Acts 5:14)

Praying through Acts 5:15

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending JESUS to be the Messiah of Israel and Saviour of the world. Thank You, that You did not give up on humanity when Jesus was rejected by His people, but continued to work out Your plan of salvation through the Body of Christ - redeemed men and women who make up the Christian Church. Thank You, that You are still a God Who heals those who are sick in body and in spirit, and thank You for my great salvation. To HIM be all praise and glory, AMEN.

“Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.”
