Praying through 2 Corinthians 9:6

Heavenly Father, create in me a clean heart, I pray, and develop in me a generous spirit. I pray that I may become a cheerful, generous, and gracious giver, in every area of my life. Help me to apply the principle of sowing and reaping abundantly so that others may be blessed and Your name may be glorified. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”

Praying through 2 Corinthians 9:7

Heavenly Father, thank You that You have given me all things richly to enjoy and that everything I have comes from You. May I never be under the illusion that I can outgive Your over-abounding gift of grace, in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. May I give faithfully, cheerfully, and generously of my time, my talents, and my money. May the motive behind my giving be pure and ever open to Your scrutiny. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

Praying through 2 Corinthians 9:13

Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of the saints in Corinth who lovingly provided for the material needs of their brothers and sisters undergoing some serious hardships in their Christian lives. I pray that I may be ready and willing to help recognise and respond to the needs and necessities of my Christian brothers and sisters. Develop in me a generous heart and caring concern for others, and may Christ be seen in me and glorified through me. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;”
